I have a snapper riding mower that will work sometimes and others it wont. When I start it, it will run fine as long as my foot is on the brake. As soon as I take my foot of the brake it starts to sputter and wants to die. It has the switch in the seat to sense when someone is setting on it and I thought maybe that switch had gone bad so I bypassed it. It did work, I can know get of the mower without engaging the parking brake, but sometimes it still does what I described above. After you try restarting it 2- 3 times and take your foot of the brake it will run fine.
