Ever wonder how old your snap on sockets really are? Here's Snap on's date codes on the sockets. It can also be used for when Snap On made sockets for Craftsman and Kobalt also.

I have bought Snap-On tools through the years. I just grabbed one socket out of my box and it had the diamond on it so it looks like 1980. That had to of been when I was working for a Chevrolet dealer on trucks just before I got laid off and the dealership was sold. The Snap-On sales truck went from one dealer to another and I always had a account with then and paid so much a week for tools.
