SMOKE!!

CC30 Riding Mower. Sometimes when I start the Mower, alot of gray smoke comes out of the exhaust then stops smoking and runs normal. Someone suggested I might have to much oil and the engine is burning it off. Any other things that might be wrong?

grey / white smoke is often nothing more than water that has condensed in the muffler since the last use .
Thick white smoke is oil which has a distinctive burning oil smell .
Oil in your muffler comes from having too much oil in the crankcase or the engine overheating or a blown head gasket or a blocked breather

Remove the oil dipstick. Smell for fuel.

Most likely too much oil. Could be head gasket time too.
