Skag Tiger Cub Will Not Start After getting Off Machine

I have a Tiger Cub with the Kohler Pro 25 engine that is making me nuts. I will go out and she starts right up, runs great. I can set the parking brake and get off the machine and she will stop running. Try to re start and it as though the battery is totally dead, the starter will not engage. Battery is good as you can hear the solonoid click if you engage the mower. Let the machine sit over night and she starts right back up. I have tried to shut the mower off before I get off the seat and the same thing happens. When I bought the mower I opted for what I call he Truck Driver Seat which gives me a little better ride. I have had it to the shop twice now and replaced the safety switch between the seat and frame, still have the problem. I can load it up and take it back to the shop but the darn thing starts right up for them, can't fix something that's not broke. Any Ideas?????

One of them things that happen only when it wants to. One of the hardest things to find and repair. Pinched wire, loose connection, bad wire, something inside a harness

403 Forbiddenclick anyway Page 62 is wiring schematic. Hands on, inspect all wiring and connections making sure everything is tight & secure at all connections, especially ground wires & straps. You can unplug, visually inspect, and replug each connection one at a time ensuring contacts are clean & free from rust and corrosion as well as burn spots. Let us know how it goes , thanks.

Brake interlock switch is defective or not activating, page 62, use OEM parts.

When it won't start check your switches, seat switch, control arm switches, break lever, etc. Make sure your ground is clean and tight. Make sure your battery connections are clean and tight.
Then when you get tired of chasing the problem just replace your relay. They seem to be problematic on some machines.

Because of my issue, I looked into the electrical system then started stocking up on parts. (maybe I'm stupid, but I like to have stuff on hand if something fails) I have every electrical switch for my machine, new in a box. If the machine acts up again I'm ready with jumper test leads, and new parts.

Here is a recent post of my machine issues. My Scag warrantee was about to expire. I talked to the dealer about the issue and they wanted to check it out. Of course they didn't find any thing wrong (neither did I testing it out) but they did replace the relay. It doesn't play games now. It starts every time.

MadMackie is very intelligent on machines. He wrote about the electrical system on his and what to check. It happens to be my thread probing my no start issue.

Read here if you like....

I had one that did that too. There is a relay under the cover where the ignition switch is installed. The relay contacts go bad and sender the relay inoperative. Replacement of mine cured the problem.

You may have a voltage regulator problem too.
