Simplicity 18 HP Briggs oil leak

You need to find where the oil is coming from. Get a spray bottle and mix a Rich solution of dish soap and water. Spray down everything you can see oil on and then with a pressure washer or hose rinse everything off. Repeat until you no longer see any oil residue. Dry throughly with compressed air or leaf blower. Now you have to be a detective and run the unit constantly looking for an oil trail. This may take 5 minutes or 2 hours. Report back what you find, along with engine model, code and type numbers.

Please check the numbers again, as those are not Briggs numbers. Should be located on one of the valve covers. When we can I’d the engine, we can give you suggestions as how to proceed.
