:confused2:my toro z4200 with Kolar Engine just spins over and won't start. Has been setting for about a week and a half due to rain. Engine was running fine when last used, now I need to mow and this problem pops up. Used my spark plug tester and it has fire, also removed the carb and cleaned it out. It is getting fuel but won't start, have also checked both fuse, they are good. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks
Spray some carb cleaner or starting fluid in the plug holes.
If it starts the ignition timing is good
now spray through the carb.
If it starts then valve timing is good ( on one cylinder at least. )
At this point check the solenoid under the carb.
If the float bowl is full of fuel but the engine is not getting any then that is prime suspect.
Tampering with it carries very heavy fines in some states but for diagnosis purpose you can replace it with a short bolt.
