Thx again. It is a 95, been sitting in a barn covered up for last 10 years. Im in central Alabama (ROLL TIDE) No big need in this part of USA. The guy I got it froms daddy used it at Talladega race a couple of times. Yes it will be underpowered. Think a 15hp will be enough? Buggy weight is around 480 lbs. Jump on in please, no hi-jack...haha.

Get as big of a motor as your budget will allow. Check out the motors on this page.https://www.surpluscenter.com/sort.asp?keyword=NEGH&catname=engines&PAGELEN=10000 I browse this website all the time. I was considering either the 23 hp B&S or the 25 hp Subaru engine, but decided to go with a motorcycle engine. Either one of those engines would have been the easiest to drop in the cart and would have more than doubled the original hp, but I wanted the geared transmission. I think a 15 hp engine would be large enough if you don't want to go very fast.

Let me start a new thread for my golf cart project so we don't hijack the thread.
