Self propel problems

I have a craftsman 6.5 HP 22 inch mower with front wheel drive. I'm having some problems with the drive system. The lever will engage the wheels which is evident if you raise the front end, but when the mower is lowered the wheels stop turning. I replaced the drive belt but that didnt fix it.

Is there some adjustment or something else I can try fix this?

Look closer and try to determine what is the last part of the drive to remain turning when the wheels stop... Belt, pulley, input to trans, Trans output shafts.... Somewhere something is not connected... :smile:KennyV

Pull the drive wheels off - you might see all the plastic teeth worn off which is normal .
eBay prices are lower than sears unless you like your sears credit card .
