seeking help on a craftsman push mower

I have a craftsman push mower with the rear drive running from a belt. I replaced the drive unit and cannot determine where the spring connects to. Obviously I can't run the machine without it being installed. I have attached a pdf of the mower. Hoping someone can help.

Rivets, sorry it took me so long to get back with. The Army has had me on the road and then I come and meet my third Grandson. I have the Model #: 917.374362 with the 7.0 HP, 190cc Platinum Briggs and Stratten 128T05-1268-B1 0902 1857

I would say the spring goes from the tranny to the deck. Part #55 in the parts list of this manual. Go to the last pages.
