Just remember to check for head warpage. Might as well check the valves and seats while you are at it.
And yes keep the gasket in stock at all times common fail on the 31 and 33 series not so much on the 21 and 28 inteks but I keep one of each on hand anyway.
Just like you should the camshaft and governor assy in stock.

I always decarbon and clean the head and check it for warpage and lap in the valves
I order my Intek head gaskets by the box full.
Probably have better than 10 in stock in all 3 sizes
Same story for the push mowers
Mind you you have to d this down here because B & S Australia can take several months to replenish their stocks & get them to you.
Keep 3 cams in hand for the same reason.
Last year I fitted one from Made in China and if it holds up then they will all come direct from China
