I live in Southeast Texas where humidity is very high and mildew is a big problem, it will grow on anything organic, including sweat left on vinyl seats as well as dust and dirt on anything. I have been looking for seat covers for my mowers and tractors, but find only ill fitting plastic, junk. Would be nice to find a simple removable, washable cover made of terry cloth, or covers a bit more complicated to remove, but much better fitting and lasting, made of neoprene. But, all my googling and calling has not been successful. Does such a product exist? What do you use to protect your equipment seats from dirt and mildew and your own "seat" from sticking to the vinyl? (yes, I mow in shorts)
Also, every ZT mower owner I know has a bungee cord attached to a hole they drilled in their discharge chute, attached somehow to a place near the operator seat. I realize this is a safety thing, but we all do it around here, so we can get through gates and narrow areas without having to dismount, etc. I pull the bungee to lift the chute, get through the gate or whatever, then lower the chute back down. Question: is there an aftermarket product to accomplish this? Maybe something that doesn't risk vibrating loose and getting under the deck or eventually disintegrating from the sun?
These are two issues which need a solution, these,(and a mower designed to make cleaning under the deck easier) How do you deal with this? Anybody know of products manufactured to solve these issues?
Thanks
