Can anyone tell me when these were new?

Sears Craftsman 536 918200

I put on a new fuel line, new gas & oil. Started on the first pull. And it's for sale too. Located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Got the throttle cable un-stuck.

4 forward speeds, 1 reverse.
2 stage snow blower.

From the date codes I see clearly:
Unit: model 536.918200, code 9268 (September 25, 1979)
Engine: model 143.696082 (Tecumseh: HS50-67181C), serial 9263B (September 20, 1979)

Your snowthrower was built September 25, 1979 - technically making this a 1980 model.

I just picked up a similar model..,536.909440 engine code is 8269B. Anyone have an idea who manufactured these? Seems to be well made.Not much plastic on it!
Mine needs a bit of a clean-up,runs good though.
