After 4 years of wet summers and winters my aunts grass has turned to moss.
3 days of scarifying and raking moss onto a tarpolin and moving to the field is finally done - for now.

We used a 14" Hayter scarifier with a Briggs powering 15 fixed blades. It only used about a gallon
of fuel.

How long before you can tell how the lawn recovery is working from removing the moss, and do you need to sow grass, or is there enough left to recover on its own?

Very cold here at the moment so grass wont be growing any time soon.
This time last year we had a heat wave and were in the 20ーc.
At this time its hitting 4-9ーc.
Doing scarifying, moss killer and a grass feed and hope for the best. Should turn green as soon as the heat increases.
