Engine Looks similar. Deck Definately different.

Thanks for answering the questions.

:confused2: I need to realize that not everybody is as crazy about old two-stroke mowers as I am. :confused2:

Now that I know about the side-discharge models, I want one of those.

Most of the ones I see are like the one I have B&S side discharge....the Suzuki equipped must be rarer than hens teeth! I would love to find one as I have always heard how robust they are. Mine I found at a flea market, the owner made me an offer I couldnt refuse!

I don't think they are terribly rare. You can get parts for them.

I saw one on the Atlanta CraigsList a couple of months ago. It sold very quickly. If you keep your eyes peeled -- check your local CraigsList regularly -- you'll probably find one before too long.

Here's some pics of him in place. On the main street in the village.

 That is an excellent scarecrow -- the crows are terrified, I'm sure.

I like the detail on the mouth and nose.

And it does look like a Suzuki engine on your parts mower. You might have some valuable parts on it. Those engines are great, IMO, but the parts can be expensive.

Was the scarecrow part of a Halloween exhibit? If so, does your town do a lot of decoration for Halloween?
