I am trying to post some photos of the pond bank at my grandmother's house that my dad and I just mowed with our mowers (mine 48" s150xt his 61" s200xt). my grand father purchased a 72" dew eze slope mower to do the job a few years ago before he passed away. A neighbor had been mowing it for my grandmother with her dew eze mower (very cool machine), but one of the fuel injectors started leaking about two months ago and he stopped mowing. She mentioned to my dad that it needed mowing, so we went today and took care of it. Grass and weeds were between 3 and 4 feet high, so we had to mow it twice in several places. You can see how tall it was in some of the pictures where we stopped mowing. There are a few. Sorry lmf is only letting me post one at a time. I hope this will help show you what the s200xt is capable of.

I can't get anymore of them to load. I'm not very iPad savy. He never raised his deck when he was mowing the slopes, and only mowed the steepest parts once. The big block vanguard is very powerful. I, admittedly, had to mow twice everywhere I mowed, but the grass was so high that we really should have bush hogged it. I did slide once while mowing around the pond. In that first picture you will see a spot that didn't get mowed near the pond. That's where I slid. Thank goodness for rip rap, or my mower could have been used as a trot line anchor.

I got the guy with the Scag to give me another day to think about it. Luckily the 2 mowers are pretty close to each other, so I'm planning to go back and run the Scag tomorrow and decide. If I don't like it that much then I'll head over and pick up the Snapper. I still can't believe I'm considering a 600 hr machine over a 75 hr machine. Anyways, bringing a mower home tomorrow. So will update later tomorrow. If the Snapper had a suspension seat I probably would have already bought it, but just knowing I'm going to have to turn around and spend another $300-400 for a seat is making me drag my feet.

You can get a suspension insert for the s200xt for about $150. My father purchased one. It works well.

I've seen those. The seat on it is a chinsy piece of crap though. Such a nice mower then they finish it off with that, not sure what they were thinking.

The seat on my dad's mower is pretty comfortable. I didn't pay attention to the seat when I pulled it up on Craig's list. I just pulled it back up. The seat is different than his. The seat on my mower is nicer than that as well. As a matter of fact, I have never seen a cheapy seat like that on a snapper pro mower. That has to be an after market seat. Even the s50xt has a better seat. The original owner must have swapped seats.

My guess is he purchased an expensive suspension seat and he wanted to keep it for his next mower. It may have come with the mower, but I have never seen one with a seat like that. I have seen a lot of snapper pro and ferris mowers.

Ended up with the Scag. I was intending to look at it and actually decline and go buy the Snapper. Well on the way there the truck freakin broke down and the guy who had the Scag was nice enough to come help is out. Felt bad if I didn't buy it at that point. So thats what I brought home.
