Hi , Have a J D ,S140 , 48" deck , I mow about 2 acres with it , Problem is I have to recharge the battery after 2 --2 1/2 hrs of mowing , something is killing the battery which is brand new with the mower last season ,I ended up getting another battery to switch out towards the end of each mowing so I don't have to wait on recharge , Mower runs fine when battery is full, is there a part or fuse that I'm missing that keeps it charged up ? mower was new last spring ,Thans

Being that new the mower is still under warranty. And what you are experiencing is a warranty problem that needs to be fixed by the dealer. The issue is most likely the charging system on the engine isn't working properly. Could be a issue with a voltage regulator or even the charge stator under the flywheel.
