Saves crawling around in the dirt. lol
think I got a bent blade. Ran over an area that was stump ground and it picked up a bunch
of wood chips. all of a sudden she started vibrating and couldnt find anything wrong other
than a little dull on the blades.
Sharpened all three and vibes were better but still there for sure. Got a new set coming.
Surprised it didnt take much to mess this deck up. In the old days I could run over a moose
and the blades would just keep chucking along. lol
Of course it was diff machine, older, heavier.

Had a cub cadet with 50 inch deck that started vibrating unexpectedly. Changed blades. Did not help. Thought I had a bad pulley. Come to find out, a wood chip had lodged between belt and pulley. Could not see it until took belt off. Put belt back on...no odd vibrations. Just dawned on me when you mentioned running over wood chips.

The rust under the deck seems to be surface rust. You can repaint it if you want with Cub Cadet paint.

The mower is a Cub, they are good quality and long lasting, make sure the fuel tank is dry, check oil, check spark plug, check compression. If anything needs replacement, replace it or take it to a repair shop. I think the mower is worth $150--Go for it.

As for the blade, if it is sharp enough, just keep the blade and paint it. If it is dull, just sharpen it or get a replacement.
