Can anyone assist me in identifying the rototiller in the pics? The original motor as is the one I installed was a briggs. My problem is I am not getting a good seal at the axle and am leaking gear box fluid. What fluid should I use?

Thks,

Dave

Don't know what brand the tiller is but I have found that Motion Industries is a good source for all my bearing, seal, hydraulic cylinder and packing needs.

I was a little humored to see the red Sealtest tote in the second picture, popular brand when I was a kid.

If that housing is all cast iron it is likely an old Western Auto Wizard...

You can use Polyurea #0 EP Grease, John Deere corn head grease... it is used in a Lot of older gear boxes on tillers and large mowers...

Thks for the replies,

Yes the housing is cast. While laying on the paint stripper, I came across the word Canadian or Canada as part of the brand name. The original colour of both the tiller and engine was white.

Cheers,
Dave
