I have craftsman riding mower GT5000. after u start it while releasing clutch pedal it will die. also after you start it with clutch pedal still depressed if u pull out button to engage blades it will die. HELP!!

See thread above yours, MTD 32 in cut. Could be same problem.

The seat switch thinks you are not there.
To move the mower or engege the blades the set switch must be closed so check it & the wiring to it.
Depending upon which MTD you have, the seat switch will be different and MTD do things a bit different to most with the seat switch wiring which makes theirs a little tricky to bypass, which is not a good idea except to test it .
