I have a 2007 Troy Bilt Super Bronco (Kohler Courage 19hp).
I replaced the carb and now it seems the throttle is stuck wide open after replacing the new carb. I literally didn't touch the linkage except to remove it from carb. Any idea what I did wrong?

Need a little more info. Like which engine it is; Model and spec numbers. Also is it OEM or aftermarket carburetor.

But even when a carburetor is installed the static governor adjustment should preformed.

It's a Kohler SV590 and yes it's after market carb.

At a very rough guess because this is the type of thing we really need to see I would think you have hooked the throttle rod to the wrong hole as most have a push to open & a pull to open hole or you have transposed the choke & throttle controls should it not be an overide choke control .

With an after market it possible you got the wrong carburetor or have missing parts. You could even have cross [transposed] the linkages as noted. Throttle linkage goes on the side closest to the engine and choke linkage goes to the air filter side. To verify which is choke linkage remove the carburetor, then while the linkages place the throttle control in the choke position. The choke linkage will only move when you do this.

Plus hopefully you brought the correct style of carburetor too as older SV590 could have use either gravity or fuel pump fed carburetors. With this in mind there is a need to note that there are 58 SV590 engines and there are engine serial number breaks involved too which make it actually more versions
