I have a Husqvarna LGT2554 54 inch riding mower and have had lots of strange little problems with the mower itself as well as the Kohler Courage engine.
The most recent issue is related to the position on the ignition switch that allows you to mow in reverse. I usually leave the mower in this position after I start the engine. I was mowing yesterday and had been mowing forwards but with the switch/key in the position that allows you to mow in reverse. The engine sputtered and died. It restarted fine and ran in the mode that allows you to go forward only but died immediately when I switched it to the reverse enabling position. I am assuming this is a problem with the keyswitch itself or some sort of electronic module in the mower. Anyone else ever had this happen? If so, how do you resolve it?
I have not been real happy with this unit or the Kohler Courage engine overall as something always seems to be coming loose and/or breaking. I always re-assemble with Loctite and that has helped a lot.
Thanks,
Conor
