The 2 halves are not sold separately.
This is the same catcher they have been using since 2000, just the colour is different.
Any real mower repairer will have a dozen around the back usually $ 20 to $ 50
New in a box I think they go a tad under $ 100.
You can order one in through Bunnings if you like should take about 4 weeks due to their complicated logistics.
A normal mower showroom ( as distinct from a repair shop ) should be able to get you one overnight unless you are 200 miles out of town.
Any of the previous "twin grip" will also fi and you can usually get them for $ 5 at a trash & treasure.

Briggs & Stratton are inflating all of the locally assembled mower prices to entice customers to buy the fully imported mowers so they can shut down the local assembly plants.
Wholesale prices for some parts have quadrupled over the past few years.

Just to be clear, Bunnings could get in one of the 'blue' catchers?
Thank you very much for the great info.

Yes

Go to customer service and place an order.
They will sms you when it arrives.
Check the price before you order as all special orders are not refundable nor returnable.
Some products require payment in full before he order can be placed.

This was quite a lengthy process involving a number of different calls, and seemed only barely possible due to some very unique circumstances, which made it seem highly unlikely it's something Bunnings could usually do... Success but think I was very lucky, definitely not as easy as Bunnings ordering one....
Thanks

Bunnings, like all big box stores makes all their money by by putting massive mark ups on products that they buy in for 1/2 what every other shop can.
Thus they do not like to do any customer service because that is not profitable enough.
They will make out like it is a massive effort and you have recieved the grace of God by them simply ordering in a replacement part they do not normally stock.

That is the difference between the greedy morons ( Bunnings - Masters - Hardly Normal etc etc ) and devoted specialist mower shops who honestly want to look out for your best interests.
