Does anyone know of an economical replacement for the Kohler engine spec. # PS-SV590-0220, that throws the counterweight through the crankcase ? It is in a 2006 LTX 1042.
Thanks,
Jim

If you have a PTO clutch, you will need to look for an engine that will supply enough amps to charge your battery and keep the clutch engaged.
It seems most of the motors have the same diameter shaft of the same length. Yours is probably 1 inch and and 3 and some odd inches long. haha
I look at them sometimes on Ebay and Amazon.
Here is one with 15 amp output that will power a clutch
Small engine warehoue
Small engine services
Repower
All of them do remaindered brand new engines at a discount
Any Kohler with a 1" dia shaft will fit
all of the flywheels are the same bu Courge & commands use different thickness cranks so the hole will be different sizes.
You might have to swap out the stator, they all fit but some are wired different so easier to pop yur old one back in if the new one is not the same.
