replaced DSAI ignition with MDI now it wont charge

You folks helped me out with the advice to replace the DSAI with the MDI. Runs great. Only issue is it doesn't charge back to the battery. I'm sure I missed a wire or something but when it cranked up and ran so good I tossed the instructions. Any ideas? Thanks
 
You may be just unlucky as there is normally nothing that is unplugged that affects the charging system. I do know I have more Kohler voltage regulators to fail than any other brand. I done replace six this year alone vs one Briggs.
