I would like to repair my carburetor. I am going to get a Carb. Repair kit. Before I start am I going to need special tools, I need to get? My mower is a Briggs,self-propelled. It is 6.0 H.P. Model # is 122K02-0577-E1. When cleaning the Carb. Could I use air from an air compressor. Any tip would be appreciated. Thank You

You do not need a kit. You just need to disassemble it and clean with the proper solvent and then "Lightly" blow it out to finish the cleaning. No special tools are required, just go slow. The main thing to do is, don't stretch the bowl seal when you take it off. (Assuming it is a bowl style carb) The proper cleaner is "NOT" carberator cleaner....you need to use "Throttle body cleaner" because it is not so hard on the seals and it won't make them swell up on you. The last thing to watch for is to make sure that the carb reseals to the intake good so you get no air leaks. Good Luck!
