Removing starter solenoid on JD z345r

Hi new member here, and sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere. I have a JD z345r that I think has a bad starter solenoid. Not a big deal right? That is if you can get the thing off. You would think it just bolts to the frame, but it doesn't. It almost looks to me like there is a tab spot welded to the frame. Huh? Is it maybe like a tab that fits into a groove on back of the solenoid? I have pulled and pried on this thing with no luck. Help! Tried to post pics but says file size to large

Bolt on one side tab & slot on the other
Get under and have a good look
Not a particularly difficult job as either the nut is captive or the bolt is a coach head.
Been a while since I have done one .
