I have a Redmax EBZ8001 that is great! Had this for over 10 years, had the piston replaced about 6 years ago since I was previously using regular gas, now use premium! Overall it runs very well but recently started having an issue which is carb related. I make sure I mix the gas as the manual says 2.6 ozs oil to gallon of gas.

It started not running at full speed, but after 10-12 minutes would run fine (full speed). In the last week it stopped getting to full speed at all. I noticed that when I took off the air intake, there was a puddle of gas at the bottom of the adapter just below the choke. I had purchased a new carb, so figured the fastest, easiest thing to do was swap the new one onto it. It runs but was stumbling most of the time, when I let off the throttle, wait a few seconds it gets to full speed but for only 20-30 seconds. I took the air intake off and had a puddle of gas, not as bad as the original carb, so it is still flooding out.

Since this is brand new carb, I would expect that the carb is not the culprit. Heard something about the gas cap causing this type of issue?

Make sure your gas tank is venting. Not familiar with that blower but should vent either through a separate line or your gas cap. Normally you can tell if it’s not venting when you run it a bit and then open gas cap and pressure releases. Also make sure your muffler and port are not clogged.....this will restrict airflow and lose power.

And pull the muffler off .
Check the exhaust port for build up of carbon.
People run extra oil in the belief that they are doing good for the engine, but in reality is is very bad & carbons up the engine.
Lots of people think that beause the engine is not smoking then the oil/fuel ratio is fine, but modern ashless 2-stroke oil does not smoke anywhere near as much.
