Fuel Raw fuel is blowing through engine.

What is causing raw fuel to blow through the engine and out the exaust when trying to start it.
It only starded doing it after battery failed. Won't start at all.

Usually a stuck float allowing fuel to flow down the throat odf the carb, past the valve & fill up the cylinder.
If there was only a little you may have gotten away with it .
If ther was enough to stop the engine rotating then you could be looking at a blown head gasket, broken rings or both.

I agree with berts.

Spark plug fouled out from all the fuel, so no start. I would also check the oil for fuel.
