Raptor Bad Transmission??

Pushing the steering arms forward or back the right has a lot of resistance about half way. With both arms all the way forward the mower circles to the right with about 6'-8' inside the circle. One of the steering dampers was damaged. Both steering dampers and both brake rods were replaced with no difference. Am I looking at a bad transmission or is there something else that might be the problem?

The wheel motors normally have adjustments on the control rods, and the ends of the rods wear slightly. There may be excessive slack that is contributing to your problem.

Wheel motors do wear out eventually, but that would be more pronounced and often has noise associated with the wheel motor bypassing fluid internally.

Sorry about the delay getting back on. Had internet problems.

Turns out the problem was on the two 'plates' at the rear of the transmission. One or both had been bent or pushed out of alignment and were binding or each other. Son was looking at what it would take to change the transmission, if necessary, and found the problem.
