I have a CMM1200 type 2. Hadn't used it in several years, but began to about four months ago. It went fine at the time, then weakened each week. I bought new batteries, then a new armature. Still the batteries died after about half an hour of use. The charger seems to be working correctly. I am at wit's end--they only option I see is taking it to a small engine repair shop or throwing it out. Thanks!

Your carbon brushes are probably worn out & need to be replaced.

Yes when I googled carbon brush part # 241648-01 you can see considerable price difference, you will need 2 carbon brushes. I would purchase from Tools & More for $8.45 a piece.
