My problem is with Possums. They easy to catch in a live trap. Just put a few grains
of my cats dry cat food on a small piece of plywood and they fall for it every time. I move
them down to the closest creek about 5 miles away

You got to relocate a lot further away. But considering their life span is usually two years I just eliminate them.

I had a building with truck tire racks in it and the birds would put the white frosting on the tires like they where on the clock and the boss was watching. I shut the big sliding doors and laid the Anhydrous Ammonia vapor hose in the walk in door , let it blow for 30 minutes , that was the end of the birds for over a year. It did turn all of my multi colored work orders one color. My only thought about shooting them or gassing them is you will have to crawl in there to get out the bodies, the smell will be bad and only get worse the longer you ignore it . School of Hard Knocks .My front porch, 12 gauge and a possum , it had turned to jelly before I gave it up and went in under there to serve his eviction notice , there was a blanket of maggots under it. Vicks suave under and in my nose made no difference. The stink was 30 foot around the porch , make ya spit non stop. I dumped two gallon of bleach on the ground after I was done, it was a big improvement. Maybe Moth Ball will run them off.

Maybe some of Jim Jones's Kool-Aid might be on the menu

Sounds like a job for a respirator. I bought one for mowing. Certain times of the year, I find myself mowing through clouds of dust. I keep finding more uses for the respirator. Stinky and/or smokey environments qualify.
