Do you have a purpose built garage for your mower or do you just have shed that you store your mower in? When I borrow my neighbors mower I normally put it one of the small outbuildings.

My lawn mowers, chipper shredders & tillers are under two aluminum pickup shells with plywood sides out behind the tool shed. Compact utility & biggest garden tractor go in the bigger shed, the rest & the Mule are in an enclosed metal carport out back.
It is much easier to use a shed. For a long time we put everything in the garage but that interfered with everything else. The shed lets us put all the outdoor equipment together. We have a compact one so it doesn't intrude much into the yard.
I have a 30 wide X 40 foot long 4-car garage to put my tractor and mower, and tiller, and chain saw, and stepper machine, and the rest of my wife's junk in. There is no room for an automobile!
I took a 16 X 20 corner, built an "inside" room in that only I have the key to, which is my shop. Fully heated and air conditioned, cable TV, Internet, and phone, and coffee pot.
Just wondering what your address is so i can come over for coffee and the internet ,maybe a T.V. show? Sound like a swell place to me too.

pebbles,I built a 16x16 add on to my barn for my Grasshopper and other mowers.Finished wiring today for lights and plugins. The tractor and truck are parked in the barn. russ
That is so terrific if you can build your own shed to meet your specific needs. We searched around and bought one that came the closest to fitting our needs; never even considered building one from scratch.

thats great wish i would have got one for the mowers and stuff ...I have a big garage and its full ...The race car takes up a lot of room then we have all my mowers and junk in there also cant move ...I think i am going to invest in one soon myself
I currently store all my stuff in our two garage (uh 3 mower, woodworking shop - storage area) or the barn but would love a shed just for my mowers and garden tools. The wife was hinting that she would like a potting shed. Wonder how she would feel about a 24x36 potting shed? Then she could actually get her car in the garage.

I have a 12x20 shed for my garden stuff....its full of course, 4 tractors and various other mowers and implements of destruction.....The other tractors are under tarps outside or in the garage.......I need a barn.
i already have the concrete foundation for a 14x24 garage(tornado took out the original garage 5 years ago). i am looking at a 24 x 36 hip roof(barn style) garage, for $13,500 to replace it. that gives me plenty of storage above and allows me to keep my jimmy inside also. looking at using halve of it for my workshop, the other halve of the bottom for my vehicle, and the top part for storage.:licking::cloud9:

I keep my lawn equipment in my garages. I bought three of the metal buildings and put two of the metal buildings up. The two metal building after the first year the roofs caved in with our snow load so my third building just sets in a box. When we get three foot snow or more and then a rain on top of it takes a well made roof to hold the weight. My house roof started to bow in through years of snow load so I needed a roofing company to put new roof rafters in my house.
