I have a Scag Tiger Cub and I was thinking of purchasing a 900lb roller to pull behind it(it already has a hitch on it). Somewhere along the way someone told me that pulling such a heavy object with a hydrostatic transmission is not good for it. Just wondering how true that is before I buy one and wreck my mower.
Zero turns don't pull very well anyway if the grass is soft or wet you'll spin like crazy, plus keeping control when it starts spinning on one wheel and not the other can get rather frustrating. Best bet - a tractor and no not a lawn tractor unless its a real big one with a gear drive tranny. I use my John Deere 850 for all that kind of stuff. Got a Zero for cutting grass, thats really all they are meant to do!! Have a Great one.......
