Pruning In Wnter

It's pretty mild in Arkansas all through early December. I usually prune my trees and shrubs in the fall but I didn't get to it this year because we were building a shed. Can you do your pruning in the winter or is it best to wait until spring?

I have and it has caused no problems...
I also see the utility company tree trimmers cutting way back during the winter with out any problems....

I once read, (and of course I don't remember where:biggrin:) as a general rule pruning should take place on the opposite side of the calendar from bloom time. Sure I usually fudge a bit and for you to be normal and make me look more normal you should too.

Actually pruning in winter is a good thing. It's best to prune when trees are dormant. I always save my tree and shrub pruning for winter for that reason.
