I just changed the belt on my mower according to the instructions, but when I turn the motor on, the belt is tearing up! Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

Welcome to the LMF...
troybilt has made a lot of mowers... what one is this and have you checked that all the pulleys and any idler are all turning free and are in the proper plane... ? :smile:KennyV

i might to late but i had the same problem what series is yuor mower pony - bronco- horse and deck size the horse model with 46 inch cut has a problem with the belt getting caught in the bracket in the middle and back of the deck where the belt goes straight across fromm left to right pullys if the belt has the least amount of slack it will run under the bracketwhen you ingage the deck it cuts the belt.
