I have a Ferris 5900632 Deck. It requires 5101755S Blades. Why do they hit each other? Is this a timed deck or an offset deck?
Typically I remove 1/8 inch of material on each end of the blade to make them work. Wouldn't think I should have to do this. Only thing I can figure is the blades need to be installed in a certain manner, like middle pointing front to back and side blades pointing side to side. What do you think?
I looked up the model number you posted and it calls for a different blade number than the one you posted. It calls for part number 5020842. https://www.messicks.com/FE/3014.

Check the diagonal blade length, also check the length from center to each end. I have seen a couple blades over the year where the center hole was off centered.

Thanks I called the shop I bought them from and had them measure the length of the 5020842 thinking they would be shorter. It was exactly 21 inches. Same as the 5101755.

On the last set of mulching blades I bought the hole was not centered and the blades would have hit. Also way off balance. A few minutes on the grinder remedied the problem

Look closely at the bottom of the spindle and the bolts, etc.. Look for wear/slop.
