BG20444, you will not find it. You will find the LA105 which is a similar tractor but the BG20444 was manufactured specifically for HD.

So it's looking as if the JD counter sales need to keep 2 separate sets of books, 1 for each if the parts are actually different. I seriously doubt that happens.

Yeah I would guess they keep books. I don't know what or why you would need 2 sets for? I mean they sell you parts for your mower or the mower you have according to model and serial number regardless of where it's sold whether it be from HD or Lowes or a dealer. The only difference is the mower your buying the parts for. The parts will most likely come from the dealer not HD and that's what the JD dealer is complaining about. It's all about Quantity not Quality to target the consumer for there sales.
Husqvarna makes mowers for sears but there made to sears price point spec's, MTD does the same, so does B&S. I mean really do you think your buying the same mower from Husqvarna that they sell at sears for 1K cheaper. Husqvarna would go broke in six months.. The dealers couldn't sell there mowers.

There will always be price point mowers, I for one am disabled with bad back and limited funds for mower purchase,
It just so happened in 2013 a hail storm rolled thru central OK.
State Farm totaled my pickup and after I bought it back I had just enough to by my low end Husqvarna rz4623.

Had that not happened I would still be riding my Troybilt bronco, which is low end rider.
I would love to have the funds to by a high end z-turn or garden tractor but I will have to save many years to do so.

Moral to my story there ar lots and lots of people in my shoes and all manufacturers will keep trying to sell the cheapest mower that will last 5-10 years to keep people like me happy.
