We use these around the shop quite a bit. Would you rather use pressurized air or water to clean out your deck? seems to be split around the shop.

Pressure air. I'd be concerned about water adding more rust to the deck than whats already there.

Good man, air all the way. Some of the old school guys just want to use water, I guess old habits die hard.

I use air hose or gas hand held leaf blower to clean the grass off on my mower decks.

Compressed air. Pressure assures can force water into and past seals and bearings

I blow my mower off with my blower after every yard. When doing weekly service I use compressed air.

I think it's funny guys use a water hose to remove the grass from the deck so it will not rust then put the mower in the shed wet.

Those people will make us rich in time when they looking for another mower deck cause theres is rusted out.

Note to self: Start stock piling mower deck housings for the ones that wash theres with water.

I do the same as you, I blow off the entire mower the after ever yard including the drives. I just do it with the blower. I don't like transferring crap from one yard to another. I only pressure wash once a year at the end of the season and never under the deck. When I do Pressure wash I leave the engine running and run everything until it's all dry.

Yep same here I dont like all that water setting rusting everything out. I blow the major stuff off with the blower, and finish it with the air compressor. If you wet it, and dont get all the grass off then it acts like a sponge holding the water in all those spots you dont see until its to late.
