Power Kraft for many years was Montgomery Ward. Even their mechanic hand tools were Power Kraft until they bankrupted out in the early 90s. I recently bought a P K 18/42 lawn tractor and MTD confirmed the Briggs engine was a 1988 year model so the mower is probably 1989 or possibly '90, so Wards was still in business at least until 90. Most of the parts are supposed to be interchangeable with Sears Craftsman brands.
