I need a left front wheel hub for my Powr Kraft 42 inch cut 18 hp riding lawn mower. It is an old MTD manufactured mower originally sold by Montgomery Ward. The model number tag was lost years ago before I bought it used. I do not know the model number. The left front wheel hub needs to be replaced as the wheel hub is bent out.
Does anyone have any idea where I could find one? They look to be all the same as i have another MTD that I rob parts off of to fix the good one. The hub on the one I have for parts would work but I can't get it off as it the bolts have rusted to the point that I can't get it off. Does anyone have an idea of the model number for this mower? I can post a picture of it and or the part I need if that would help.

Thanks!

Thank you. I have attached pictures of the mower itself and a picture of the left front hub that is bent. This hub is causing the wheel to be not, "vertical", on the hub as it should be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I went to the MTD site and typed in the part number but the search came back with no results. Is there another number that I can use?

Thanks!

Give us a close up picture of the wheel that needs to come off that has rusted bolts and maybe we can help. I've not seen such a bolt on a front wheel of a lawn tractor.

looks like you need some wheel bushing and pivot arm bushing also. MTD brands are bad about wearing the metal out where the bushing goes (vertical). Some welding may be need to hold the bushing in place.

Here are pictures of the mower that I am pulling parts off of. The top bolt that is square headed which bolts into the top of the arm (axle) is the one I can't get loose. I have already disconnected the steering shaft and everything else to get this axle off of the parts mower. This parts mower has been sitting up for about 7 years or so. Everything is rusted tight on it. It took me awhile to get to the point I am now in removing it.

I have sprayed WD-40 on everything but still can't break it loose.

Thanks!

it is like a clamp where the bolt went through. You will need to open it up. Hit with a hammer and big punch. soak it good with PB blaster to slide out of bushings.

the third line of my post above will take you directly to the steering diagram for the model I listed.
