I'm not sure if I put this in the right section but i'm new here so give me a break. I'm working on an excel 2400 made by devilbiss. it was working fine then one Saturday I went to use it and the motor was running fine but it wouldn't build pressure so I took the oil filler cap off and it was shooting water like a geyser out of the oil filler tube. Is there an obvious seal or gasket that needs to be replaced or should I just replace the pump?

Parts to repair the pump on most lower quality pressure washers are slim and none. The cost of pump replacement may cost almost as a new pressure washer.

Take the pump apart and replace all the O RINGS. You can get them at any auto parts store or even Home Depot or tractor supply.

Use orange gasket maker on any bad gaskets.
