I have replaced the mower deck mandrel on on the left hand side of my Poulin Pro lawn tractor twice. Each time, the pulley loosens up and spins on the shaft, chewing up the center hole. As a result, I have replaced the entire mandrel twice. When the I remove the large nut that holds the pulley in place, it tears up the threads both on the shaft and the nut. I know it was tight when I repaired it, but somehow, this has happened twice. Any advice would be helpful.....Jeff

There should be a washer between the pulley and the nut.
You can always just double nut it. But that's just a last resort.

(( racing is the only sport that you need two balls ))
