Let us know how it performs and maybe post a picture of it in action.
After using the mower here is my review -
Unpacked the mower and added the supplied oil, put fresh gas (91 octane) in the tank and it started on the first pull! All I had to do upon taking it out of the box was unfold the handle and set the desired height. The handle has three positions to choose from. Also you have to attach the grass bag to its frame via snap on "clips" at the end that connects to rear discharge. That only took 2 minutes. I have a quarter acre yard and I'll have to say this machine performed flawlessly! I had about 2 ft tall grass that was still damp from a couple days of rain and it never bogged down or even missed a beat for that matter. I even left the wheel height selectors mid way on the back and lowered the front by a full notch. The self propelled feature is a big help and is fairly strong. The only negative I have about it so far concerns the grass bag. Although it fills completely full AND then some, until it does, there is a quarter inch gap on both sides where it doesn't quite meet together allowing fine dust to blow out. It only does this until it starts to fill with grass and then no problem but who wants dust particles flying out everywhere for a minute after emptying the bag? Not a deal breaker, just a nuisance, atleast to me..a definite design flaw. My neighbors new HONDA HRR series does the same thing! The bag DOES hold ALOT of grass however and works very well. It simply "sits" on the back so you can remove it easily to empty it out. I give this machine 4 stars instead of five because of the bag issue. All in all after 3 hours use I can say for the money spent, this mower although not what I would call a "Premium" model like say a Honda or Toro performed JUST AS WELL. I have had all major brands of mowers over the years and experience with their performance. This mower also has the 675 series Briggs and Stratton Engine so it should be reliable. One thing I did notice was that my mower does NOT have the "wash out" feature where you can attach a garden hose to wash out the under side. I had this on my Toro it replaces and I can say it really did not work well and is more hassle to attach the hose etc. turned on and off the mower during the process than it was worth so that is no big deal to me. My serial number is #109 so it must be the newer 2013 model and they did away with that feature. Overall, it is built very well but time will tell, it IS what it IS. Lastly, the handlebars could use some padding...a reminder of cost cutting. BUT some foam pipe insulation cut right to fit the bar ought to fix that. Did mulch some leaves/few thin sticks to test it out and it flat took care of them as well. Blade seemed to hold up well upon inspection afterwards.
I would buy it again, but question is..how will it hold up the rest of the season? To be continued......
Don't have any pics of it in action but here is some of my yard before and after mowing and of the mower right before it's first use. Ain't it all pretty and clean? Awww hate to mess it up!
If anyone is considering one of these or has any other questions about my experience with it, feel free to ask
**Posted wrong pic below of yard "before"..wanted to convey how tall the grass was...just the "after" pics posted. Couldn't edit the pics after posting this
