Thank you I am guessing I am looking on the wrong page the mower I have is a Poulan Pro mower with the engine in the rear and the engine is a Briggs and Stratton 11.5.HP I bought this mower used and did check that it was working such as running and all the deck worked properly, unfortunately it looks as if a label has been removed from under the seat but on the label that is there at the top it says Husqvarna, family :- BPWEPNHEQTO1 the 0 before the 1 at the end could be a letter O or a zero I cannot tell. On the what looks like a rocker cover at the rear of the engine are the numbers Model 217807 Type:- 1537 G1 Code:- 101208ZA .
I truly appreciate the help I have got so far and have downloaded and kept the PDF of the Kohler motor as it seems mower manufacturers just seem to throw any engine into mowers nowadays depending on who is the dealer Lowes mowers have different engines to other sellers on the same mower etc.
Anyhow perhaps someone could tell me which section of this bulletin board I should check out I did think I was on the correct page because it has above Poulan Pro mower on it I believe, but then I have been known to make mistakes before buying this unknown to me mower was obviously one of them but it looks like new and the price was right and looked easier to use than a conventional riding mower.
Thanks for your help all that replied I hope someone knows what mower I am talking about and has similar information as that given me about the Kohler engine.
Talking about Kohler engines I have an old Allis Chalmers 716H that I have owned since 1985 that has a Kohler engine in it what went wrong with that one, is the rear drive clutch that makes the deck and rototiller work broke its spring and the clutch burned out so being as it is something of an antique it was built in 1972, I decided to rebuild the motor which I have and am going to take all the body parts off and repaint them and rebuild the entire mower just because I like the mower, it has served me very well and I think the mower will look really nice once I finish it, plus prior to the drive clutch going bad this was the strongest mower I ever had and with the rototiller on it I was able to make a really good garden plot. I also was able to rototill my entire yard and then smooth it out after I was hit by a tornado that caused me to have to cut down over 175+ trees and then have the roots removed which left me with one heck of a mess my yard looked like it had been a minefield and all the mines had gone off. I will keep anyone that is interested appraised of how it turns out and if possible on here put up a picture of it finished. I may be an older woman but I just love tinkering with older cars, motor cycles and lawn mowers I get a lot of pleasure from making something that is old look and run like new and older vehicles as listed don't use computers etc., to run I have probably too many irons in the fire but I never get bored.
