I have an 18hp 42" Poulan Pro. Fairly often the belt (drive) slips off the idler wheel and of course forward momentum stops dead.
I have replaced the idler wheel recently and I noticed there is a belt keeper that does not seem to be bolted in and will slide out enough to allow the belt to get around it and come off the idler.
I have also noticed that it take more pedal coming back to allow it to engage.
Any suggestions on what I should check next?
