My father recently passed away and we are in the process of cleaning out his home. He has a either 94-95 Pony Tiller, model 15008 and I am wondering if one or both of the wheels are supposed to drive. When I start it and attempt to move forward, only the right wheel is turning. Is this correct or should both wheels drive?
Both wheels drive. Some of the newer models have lynch pin type wheel locks, where you remove the pin and slide the wheel inward to free wheel so you can move the tiller around easier. So check the wheel pins.
Ilengine,
YES....That was it!! Thanks. I want to sell the unit but wasn't sure if the drive train was working properly. Another thing....it doesn't start easily, meaning I need to use starter fluid to get if fired up and when it gets running and I give it throttle, the engine rpm fluctuates. Revs hi...then low....then high....and on and on. Is this a carb issue?
