plugs

Does anyone have or know where I can find a couple of check valve plugs for a sunstrand, I have found new ones for $50.00 ea Don't want to pay that much for them.
The slots are ruined in the top of plug for a screwdriver, Has anyone tried to repair with J B Weld, and if so did it do ok? Please let me know THANKS

I can't see how JB weld would work, just why couldn't you just take a small cutting wheel and cut new srewdriver slots into the plug.

Thought about that, but afraid might cut all way through slot in top of olug. The way the orginial slot is messed up doesn't leave much space for error.

Can you make the new slot 90% to the old one?
