I need to purchase this part but to start my search I need to know the name of the part...can anyone please assist?

If we knew the model number of your mower, we could not only tell you what it is called but also the part number

I would call that a link or linkage.
It is apparently designed to connect 2 arms and be held in place with cotter pins thru the holes on each end.

It would help to know what you are working on.......(Manufacturer,model#, serial #, etc....)
