One handed action

My snow blower (a Yard King) has "one-handed action", where I'm supposed to be able to let go of either lever and both will stay down. This used to work fine, but now it only works if I do the lever for the auger first, then the lever for the drive wheels. When I do it in this order, I can let go of either hand and both levers will stay down. But, if I start the drive wheels first and the auger second, the one-handed action doesn't work any more. I let go of one and it doesn't stay down.

Any ideas, or have I confused everyone?

Haven't seen this particular Yard King, but it is probably something that has worn over time ot needs adjustment back to specs. I'd check for wear points and or adjustments.

Sounds like a nice feature to have---if it works properly. It might be worth having it looked at, especially if the machine is still under warranty. Do you feel comfortable trying to look at it and adjust it yourself?
