I have a Onan generator in my shop to get running. I sure hope I didn't get over my head with this job. The fuel system was all plugged up with real old gas which I believe I am OK with. The next problim I have is no spark to the plugs or voltage to the fuel pump. It looks like everything goes through a large circuit board and even the AC voltage goes through this board. The pick up for the ignition coil that runs the engine looks like is in the AC part of generator. It looks to me like this generator runs off a battery and not a mag.

Do you have a model number or name on that generator. Does it say emerald series on it. Depending on which type of unit you have, some units have their stark controlled by the AC control board.

The model number tag is very hard to make out. It has a lot of numbers on it but I don't know what they stand for seeing it is very hard to read. It says Emerald Plus Onan on the side of it. And has a circuit board on the AC side where the coil , choke, and fuel pump wires go. A am a thinking that this circuit board is a control board that controls everything. I get no spark. Seeing I have no way to test it or have a wiring diagram I will put it into the customers lap if he want to replace this circuit board on a try or take the generator else where witch I hope he does.
